Spring Valley Wins Holiday Basketball Tournament

Huntington, WV (HNN) --The Timberwolves won their Spring Valley High School Holiday Basketball Tournament Thursday evening beating South Point High School 64-44 to win the tournament trophy playing at home.

It was a meeting of two coaches that had worked closely together two years ago when Gary Norris was the head coach at Spring Valley and Steve Morrison was the assistant. Now Gary Norris is the head coach at South Point and Steve Morrison is the head coach at Spring Valley.
 
The game stayed close in the early going. Spring Valley proved to much for the Pointers and took the tournament win to end the calendar year and to start 2006 with a good feeling.
