Charleston, WV (HNN) – Charleston Newspapers received a letter Tuesday, July 12, 2005 with a Huntington postmark that warned of impending attacks on Charleston, WV.

According to a Charleston Gazette report the handwritten letter stated "this will be a day you'll never forget if you breath [sic] to make it through."

Since May, the newspaper reported that 60 or 70 letters have been sent to businesses and individuals in West Virginia and nearby states.

The letters have been turned over to the Joint Terrorism Task Force which includes the FBI, state and local law enforcement authorities.

While the letters have been sent to both the State Police and FBI labs for forensic testing, the newspaper reported that investigators have some leads and hope "no violence is forthcoming."
