Survey USA Poll: Manchin Highest Rated Democratic Governor

Charleston, WV (HNN) --According to a poll just released this week by
independent national pollster Survey USA, West Virginia Gov. Joe
Manchin has the highest approval rating of any Democratic governor in
the country. In addition, Manchin ranks as the 5th highest ranked
governor overall with an approval rating of 65 percent, up from 64 percent in June.
"This is great news," said West Virginia Democratic Party
Chairman Nick Casey. "It shows the country what we in West Virginia
already know, that Joe Manchin is doing a tremendous job as governor of
West Virginia and should be considered one of the best and brightest
governors in the nation. He has kept his campaign promises and is
opening our state up for business. The results in just his first 6
months in office have been astounding, and these poll results are a
reflection of that success. We as a state should be very proud."
The Survey USA poll surveyed 600 adults in each of the 50
states between July 8-10, 2005. The margin of error is + or - 3.9% and
