Rahall Economic Development Tour to Visit Hatfield McCoy Trail

Washington, DC (HNN) – As part of his ongoing economic development
efforts in southern West Virginia, U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-WV) will be in
Wyoming County on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005. Rahall will have a working lunch with
local business and government leaders at the Wyoming County Economic
Development Authority office in Pineville and then he will hold a press
conference and review the Hatfield McCoy Trail on an ATV. "The Hatfield McCoy
Trail has been one of our greatest economic development projects in southern West
Virginia in recent years," said Rahall.
"I am looking forward to visiting the trail again and getting an up close and
personal look at it with Delegate Richard Browning, Jeff Lusk of the
Wyoming County Economic Development Authority, and County Clerk Mike Goode."
"My work in Congress focuses on creating jobs and economic
opportunities in southern West Virginia," continued Rahall. "Through the "Three T's" -
Transportation, Technology, and Tourism - I have helped do just that
over the years and I will continue to focus on job creation by utilizing the
Three T's." Rahall's press conference will focus on the Three T's.

To get to the Hatfield McCoy Trail Head (Castle Rock Trail Head) take
State Route 16 from Pineville to Welch. Once you cross the bridge over the
Guyandotte River leaving Pineville go approximately 1 Mile to Pinnacle
Creek Road on your left, it is directly across from the Wyoming County Board
of Education Bus Garage and immediately before you cross the bridge over
Pinnacle Creek. Follow Pinnacle Creek Road for 1.5 miles. The Trail
Head is on your left.
