GASOLINE SURVEY
Prices Decline in Most West Virginia Locations

Hinton, WV (HNN) – Gasoline prices in Hinton stayed the same as last week --
$2.29 a gallon -- on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Chevron Foodmart in
Avis, the nearby Go Mart, as well as the Exxon and Cargo stations.
Statewide, the lowest observed price on Sept. 30, 2006 was $2.06 a gallon at
the Sam’s Clubs in Parkersburg and Vienna, compared to last week’s low of
$2.07 a gallon at Shell in Fairlea, according to
http://www.westvirginiagasprices.com. In Huntington, regular was $2.16 a
gallon on Sept. 30 at the Speedway at 5th Avenue and 28th Street. It was a
penny more at $2.17 at the nearby Kroger supermarket. The highest Huntington
price was $2.23 a gallon. At the Flying J across the state line in
Catlettsburg, KY, regular was $2.08 a gallon. Regular was $2.17 at the
Kroger in Barboursville. It was $2.19 at the Go Mart and KO in Green Valley,
Mercer County, and $2.19 at the Exxon and Blueflash stations on Route 20 in
Princeton, down from last week’s $2.23 at Blueflash and $2.25 at Exxon. In
Charles Town, regular was $2.35 at Sheetz, down 4 cents from last week.
In the Charleston area, the lowest observed price on Sept. 30, 2006 was
$2.10 at many suburban locations, compared to last week’s $2.23 at BP in
Hurricane, according to http://www.charlestongasprices.com. The $2.10 price
was observed at Chevron, Rich Oil, BP and Go Mart in St. Albans; Exxon in
South Charleston, and Rich Oil and Oliver Fuels in Jefferson. The Citgo
station in Charleston was charging $2.36 on Sept. 30, the same as last week.
Regular was $2.24 at Exxon in Charleston and $2.24 or $2.25 at most other
stations in Charleston.
