Greater Morgantown CVB along with the Miss WV Scholarship Pageant Organization announce Miss Kayla Lynam as Miss WV 2008

Morgantown, WV - Kayla Lynam is the 21 year old daughter of Eric and Laura Lynam of Keyser, WV. She was crowned Miss WV 2008 on Saturday evening, June 21st at the WVU Creative Arts Center. Miss Lynam competed among 18 other contestants in evening wear, swimsuit, talent and interview. She attends Grove City College where she plans to obtain her B.S. in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Exercise Science. She also aspires to someday obtain her MBA.
 
Kayla's talent was a piano arrangement of "Malaguena". She will journey to Los Angeles, CA in September to start her first half of the Miss America competition that will follow up in January in Las Vegas, NV. She will also begin her tour of WV schools across the state in August to speak on her platform, "F.I.T.T. Habits", and discuss this with children of all ages in the school system. F.I.T.T. Habits is an acronym for Frequency, Intensity, Time and Type of exercise and is designed to educate students on the importance of regular exercise and help them incorporate a regimen of fitness into their daily routines. The Miss WV Scholarship pageant awards scholarships to young women who compete in a total amount of over $50,000.
