Bluefield, WV (HNN) – Founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, People to People represented the then president’s effort to help end the Cold War through a high academic forum for high achieving young people. It’s an honor to attend the world leadership forum in Washington, D.C.

However, a Bluefield, WV student, Tyler Easley, still needs funds to attend the once in a lifetime opportunity. For that matter, he also needs business and business/casual outfits to wear.

“Together our mother and I have raised over half the amount. The due date has passed, but he is being allowed an extension,” wrote Allison Easley, Tyler’s sister. The full amount was due June 1, 2008.

Should the money be raised in time, Tyler will spend a week in Washington , DC “meeting other highly motivated accomplished young adults his age and older from around the globe.”

Although gas is frightful and every product has started to increase, the Easley’s request “from the bottom of their heart,” assistance so Tyler can be at the forum which begins September 29.

“Whether you are able to donate or not, please remember to keep Tyler and our family in your prayers,” Easley wrote.

To donate send a check or money order to: Tyler Easley, PO Box 1895, Bluefield, WV 24701 or Allison Easley, P.O. Box 744, Winterville, NC 28590.
