WV Born Author John Michael Cummings Kicks Off 'Panhandle-to-Panhandle' Book tour

John Michael Cummings, author of "The Night I Freed John Brown," this month is starting his "Panhandle-to-Panhandle West Virginia Book Tour," a 25-county, 75-stop, month-long book tour through the panhandles and upper-tier counties of West Virginia.

He told HNN: "I'll be visiting two middle schools and a library a day, with bookstores on weekends.
 
"The second leg of my statewide book tour will be in October, before my presentation at the WV Book Festival in Charleston. (I will be a speaker.) At that time I will tour schools and libraries in the west and southwest area of the state. My goal is to visit all of West Virginia's 55 counties this year!
 
"I'm not charging schools or libraries, but, in the case of schools, asking that they order my novel for their students. In most cases, I'll be spending about two and a half hours at each school."
