Kentucky Cruises by Marshall Twice in Women's Softball

HUNTINGTON-WV (HNN ) -  The 18th. nationally ranked University of Kentucky softball team visited Dot Hicks Fields on Wednesday and won two games over Marshall 9-4 in the first game and 10-4 in the second game.

In the first game it was UK's Lauren Cumbass and Ellen Weaver that did the pitching.   Weaver also hit a three run home run in the  top of the seventh inning that made the score 9-4 and out of reach for Marshall to catch in one inning.

Marshall is  now 15-24 overall  and the University of Kentucky is 29-10 overall.   The nice weather  also brought a good contingent of UK softball fans from places like Ashland, KY.  and Portsmouth, Ohio.
