The Wedding Singer:
Tuesday, July 5, 2011 - 19:06
by Chris Spencer, HNN Photographer
Veteran singer and actor Ryan Hardiman plays the main role of Robbie Hart. It took a few minutes to recognize him in his long hair and guitar, but is WCHS-TV reporter Kennie Bass playing Sammy. Kennie with his broadcast voice plays the role well.
Jessica Maier playing the role of Linda makes things even hotter in July with her dancing. She looks good in white. She looks good in black. She looks good period.
The music directed by Mark Smith is excellent. This time he in on stage with the band instead off to the side. A place he well deserves with all his musical experience with H.O.T. The music has a good beat that makes you want to get moving with a bit of a futuristic sound.
The "The Wedding Singer," will bring back a lot of memories for those eighty years with the theme "Get Ready to Party Like it's 1985." There is also a pre-show that starts at 6:30 PM that features lot of talent with many children performing.
Give H.O.T. President-Artistic Director Helen Freeman another five stars for this production. She is full of energy and was seen back stage before show time getting all the performers together holding hands and wishing them well before the show started.
The "Wedding Singer," will play on July 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24. starting at 8:30 PM. That is Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening for the remaining month of July.
Tickets are $15.00 fort adults, $12.00 for seniors 65 and older and $12.00 for children 5-12. Under five is free. Call 304-412-3393 for information
