More comic panels, more guests artists, and a cool gathering ‘nerds’ favoring graphically illustrated entertainment gathered at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena for the second annual Tricon.

Complimented by a sold out exhibitors section, which offered rare comics, indie comics, and spinoff merchandise, Clint McElroy, WTCR morning personality and one of the costume contest judges, agreed that it was a good time and a larger crowd than last year.

Mixing and mingling has a bit to do with the illusion of super males and females fighting for or against justice. DC, Marvel , the movies and indies mixed as the likes of Captain America and Wonder Woman strolled the aisles beside Batman, Robin and Catwoman (who incidentally received autograph requests!).

Following an afternoon of guest artist interaction, the "con" held an auction and a costume contest, where contestants had to grab a place in line in advance. Easily, the "winner" could not "roll" up the steps , across the stage and "roll" downward. However, one smaller fan received giggles for a sandal malfunction. One group staged a very brief fight panel which attracted applause, along with Slave Girl.

In addition to the judges' choices for young and adult, the con organizers gave out one too.

Although the Star Wars "bot" had the glares and stares, the host recognized he had never seen a Silver Surfer costume at any prior cons.
