Huntington lighted its Christmas tree in a ceremony at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena Monday night attended by about 100 onlookers. Huntington Mayor Steve Williams and his wife, Mary, were joined by Santa Claus for the ceremony.

Prior to the lighting choirs performed Christmas Carols on a cool wintery night just in time to kick off the pre-Black Friday Christmas shopping season in downtown.
